Freshman year around this time I thought that we would be spending this birthday of yours together. I had this master plan that everything would work out and we would be back together by senior year. But…one thing led to another and well here we are…two strangers who pass one another in the hall as if we never met.
Yesterday, you were sitting behind me in the assembly and every time I looked back I saw you in the corner of my eye. I kept wanting to look back and see your face and just smile.
I miss that smile you would return back to me, along with the look in your eyes…along with everything else.
That awkward moment when you realize… you never stopped loving your first love.
Anyways, Happy Birthday, I hope it was amazing… you deserve it.
